A local desktop client that mirrors a Webflow project for offline editing and pushes changes when reconnected

Webflow's second-highest voted wishlist item (5,398 votes) asks for a desktop or offline application. Webflow explicitly rejected this in January 2021 citing technical constraints around browser-dependent live rendering and version-based release overhead. The rejection has not changed. Webflow competitor Webstudio ships a desktop app that works offline. Framer ships a desktop app. The community has known for 9+ years that this will not come from Webflow. No third-party tool intercepts this gap by acting as a local proxy: downloading a Webflow project's design tree and assets, letting a user make structural edits offline in a local GUI, and syncing the diff back via the Webflow Designer API. Webstudio and Framer are alternatives (switching cost), not companions. An Electron or Tauri app that wraps the Webflow project state with an offline-safe editing layer would serve the agency freelancer market that loses billable time in low-connectivity environments (travel, on-site client visits, unreliable co-working wifi).
